Numerical methods have become a standard procedure in the analysis process of geotechnical structures. With constantly increasing computation power hybrid and continuum approaches supported by sophisticated material models experience a rise in importance. The workshop “Numerical Methods in Geotechnics 2017” hosted by Hamburg University of Technology in participation with AK Numeric (DGGT) and the Federal Waterways Engineering and Research Institute (BAW) brings together international scientists and professionals to present and discuss the latest developments of numeric methods in geotechnical engineering.
We thank all participants and supporters of the NMG2017 for two days full of great presentations and interesting discussions.
